About this Course

New Tecumseth Fire Rescue and Emergency Services and the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department are excited to work together to bring you our new and innovative Junior Firefighter Camp. Learn what it takes to become a firefighter. This camp will focus on fire and personal safety, the basics of fire cause and prevention, firefighting equipment, and the importance of teamwork through exciting games and fun activities. In addition to fire specific programming, campers will also participate in traditional day camp programming such as games, activities, and crafts. This unforgettable week at camp will conclude with a Junior Firefighter Graduation Ceremony. For your camper’s safety and enjoyment please ensure a CAMPER INFORMATION FORM (CIF) is completed and returned to camp staff. A weekly newsletter will be emailed prior to the start of the camp week. Please ensure we have an up-to-date email address on file. Please pack a peanut free snacks and lunch, refillable water bottle, closed toe shoes, hat, and sunscreen daily. Bathing suits and towel will be required for Aqua Adventure Swim Camp and swim/water play days. Please leave all electronic equipment and toys at home. The Town of New Tecumseth is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Campers 9 and under must always have adult supervision during drop off and pick up.
